The Finale

There it is.  The first sock completed before I left for sock camp.  The second was completed en-route through the mountains and finally sewn up somewhere near Kelowna.

I think I had mentioned we had homework.  We were as I understood to create something inspired by the Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll

I struggled and struggled and of course asked my group what I should compose when “we” decided it needed to be socks.  After all this was “Sock Camp”.

I ended up being first to present my homework.  By this time I had figured out that it truly was a presentation and that the story counted so here is my story….

Imagine if you will, this first time camper struggling with what was to be the “homework assignment.”  Being unsure I asked my trusted knit girls what they thought and we all agreed I needed to knit socks but what would become of them.  I needed to hand in the homework.  Did this mean that we handed it in? Or what if it were to be marked?  What if it was a TRADE!  OMG what if it was a trade and someone else would end up with my homework? What if…… OMG OMG Stephanie Pearl-McFee ended up with MY HOMEWORK???????????????

It had to be good!  It had to be perfect!

Yup it had to be Stephanie taking home my socks!

Did they fit?

Was she excited?

Did THE Yarn Harlot go home with MY Dragon socks?

Yup she sure did.  And I could not be more happy for it ;-)
