Happy Easter

I am taking a break from a morning of daunting administration.  The kitchen table is filled will paperwork and the computer is precariously perched on the corner of the table waiting to be put to use.  The dogs are under the table quietly faking sleep.  I know if I move from here they will be brought to attention quickly.

I found this photo this morning on a search for Easter sheep.  It made me thing that the new Wilson needs to be imortalized in 3D felt.  I think I may know just the right person to pin felt him for me.  MJ is an artist in her own right.  I have witnessed her recent productions of tea cozies of which I am the proud owner of this one….

And her more recent adventure with a jungle mural that she is refusing to give us glimpses of.

As artists (and yes even a knitter is an artist) we tend not to see the value and beauty in our own creations.

Why is this?  If anyone can figure this out and let me know the magic formula for fixing it…let’s get together and bottle it up.  I know a lot of people who could use it including myself.  I am not looking to make a profit from this simply to give it as a gift.  As Spring hopefully descends upon us over the next few weeks and the promise of new things emerge from the soil and the creatures of the earth, promise me that you will also take a moment to celebrate your gifts.  Maybe toot your own horn for a moment and share something you have made with an unexpecting friend.  I promise I will too.  One never knows what will come of it, especially if we expect nothing in return.

Hi Sam, I can’t believe how fast our babies grow. We definitely need a felted, sock footed growing up Wilson, and I am so glad you have that tea cozy so I can come and visit it. Happy Easter!
