2 weeks from today we (2 of the Yummy Yarn Fan Club, the Amazing Ms. K. and I) head off for Sock Summit ’11. To say I am ready for girl time and knitting is an understatement. To say I am ready to go is the antithesis. Everyday I look at the pile on my desk and in the studio, and with little effort, it seems to double. A simple call from Ms.K this morning and the list had 5 more items added to the one I started yesterday morning, which I might add had nothing yet marked off.
So what I have learned in all these 48 years is:
1. I am not trying to run a country, or cleanup the Exon Valdes disaster.
2. No one dies at the end of the day if it doesn’t get all done.
3. If they are dying, that’s what 911 is for.
4. If it isn’t done and hasn’t been done for over a week, chances are I didn’t really need to do it.
So if you are on my list, and I haven’t marked you off in the last week, and you really do need my attention….please forgive me, give me a shout out and I’ll add you to the current list. It wasn’t on purpose, you just ended up at the bottom of the pile that I can no longer find.

See you at Sock Summit, we are beside ourselves with excitement, leaving on the 22nd for the beach. (bought pooling yarn from you at Olds) We’ll have to find an Alberta contingent at some point, is there anybody else out there that’s going?
