Tuesday 10am, we (the 4 chicks and I ) headed out the door on our next great adventure….Sock Summit. The plan was to make it to Spokane, put up for the night and land in Portland at a reasonable time this afternoon. Our goal was met and all of us are still alive and still talking to each other. Nothing like close quarters to learn more about the girls that you have come to love at knit night, through their choice of music, need for caffeine, the size of their bladder, or what is taboo or not taboo to chat about. BTW nothing is taboo in the Sock mobile.
I must say my highlight yesterday was the Canadian US border. We are a prepared bunch, and we had our passports in order to show the kindly border guard. As expected he asked to have the back window lowered so he could check all of our passengers out. He was surprised, and I do mean surprised, to find all of us (sans Jody who was our trusted driver) knitting. Yup and none of us were grannies! The look on his face was priceless.
Today was no exception as each of us took the opportunity to work on finishing homework assignments for what begins for some of us, classes tomorrow.
Registrations confirmed, Wilson in tow, and needles in hand we are off to another day in the life of sock knitters.
